Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer – Apigee & AWS
Location: Barcelona – Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)

Job Description:
Client is urgently seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support and manage critical
infrastructure for a major client in the insurance sector. The role focuses on Apigee, AWS, Linux, and
Kubernetes administration, with responsibilities spanning automation, monitoring, security, and CI/CD
architecture. Fluent English is essential, as all project meetings are conducted exclusively in English.

Key Responsibilities:
 Administer and support Apigee OPDK and actively contribute to its migration to Apigee X.
 Automate and optimize platform processes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
 Implement infrastructure architecture, including:
o CI/CD pipelines
o Monitoring and alerting systems
o Resilience strategies
o SLA tracking
o System documentation
 Ensure platform security and manage incident mitigation strategies.
 Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotations as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
 Minimum 7–10 years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering roles.
 4+ years of experience in:
o AWS administration (EC2, Route53, CloudTrail, AWS WAF, CloudWatch, EKS, AWS Systems
Manager)
o Red Hat Linux administration
o Kubernetes administration
 Strong knowledge of:
o Apigee OPDK platform and troubleshooting
o Apigee X
o Shellscripting
o Cassandra administration
o GitHub Actions
o GCloud
o Dynatrace
 Fluent English (B2 or higher) – All meetings are held in English.
 Spanish proficiency is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
 Jenkins for CI/CD workflows
 Experience with API proxy development

 Kafka (SaaS – Confluent) administration
 Azure cloud exposure
 Familiarity with the ELK stack
