What will I be doing?
As an intern in the GM&E department, you will support sales strategies to maximize lead conversion and revenue, fostering a culture of high-quality standards and proactive selling. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maximize revenue opportunities for conferences and banquets
- Assist in reviewing commercial plans and ensure proactive measures to meet established objectives
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and conversions
- Contribute to the hotel’s sales strategy
- Understand the market and implement approaches to keep the hotel at the forefront of the local market
- Manage an event calendar to maximize performance
- Develop strong relationships with clients to fully understand their needs
- Organize and support hotel inspection visits
- Ensure complete administration and execution of planned events
- Participate in hotel promotional activities
- Minimum 6 months internship
A Groups, Meetings & Events Trainee serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- Graduate or MBA in Management, Hospitality and Marketing
- Previous sales groups and events, preferably in Hospitality
- Ability to analyze and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Sense of organization and planning
- Good computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Proactive approach to meet deadlines and objectives
- Minimum 6 months internship
