Building on your experience as a data engineer and your can-do attitude, you will not only be responsible for setting up data ingestion processes, ensuring data quality, and defining robust data models, but you will also be directly involved in shaping and transforming our data landscape. If you have a knack for business analysis and a passion for developing innovative data solutions, we want you!
What you will do:
- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines and services that are used in (critical) energy trading and sales systems and processes.
- Define, implement and maintain performant data models as well as robust and scalable storage solutions.
- Establish and implement methods and tooling to improve overall data quality and lineage capabilities.
- Help shape, maintain, monitor and manage our data infrastructure and automate associated tasks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and providing data-driven solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, develop solutions, and ensure their cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
What you bring & who you are:
- You are a competent data engineer and developer (2+ years practical experience) well-versed in Python or other widely adopted programming languages (C#, Java or similar).
- You bring hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect or similar, ensuring the efficient scheduling and monitoring of data workflows.
- Being a hands-on problem solver, complex problem analysis and solution-design thinking are among your core strengths.
- You bring strong communication skills and can adapt to, coordinate and communicate fluently with a variety of business & IT stakeholders.
- You are familiar with Cloud infrastructure and services (preferably Azure), the use of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines as well as broader DevOps practices.
- You are proficient in English, Spanish is a strong plus.
- Valued: understanding of the energy or trading industry.
About the team:
Joining our team means becoming part of a vibrant and collaborative environment. We value innovation, encourage creativity, and support each other in reaching our goals. At Axpo, you will have the opportunity to work with leading industry experts, dedicated to making a real difference in the energy sector.
