JOB DESCRIPTION - FREELANCE ACCOUNT / PROJECT MANAGER (Retail & Experiential projects)
Purpose: To be an utterly dependable support for the whole team – client and agency.
Key responsibilities
- Project management of the internal processes for a variety of projects. Predominantly working on luxury retail and experiential toolkits.
- Financial management of all client and agency expenditure according to the agency’s best practice on individual projects - (note a more transparent/accessible finance system is being set up to facilitate this).
- Ensure best practice for meetings (everything from cosmetic presentation if in person or via presentation, production of agendas, contact reports, all feedback addresses, correct people in the room).
- Internal communications best practice to ensure that all the senior parties are appraised of current situation and future requirements
- Be a knowledge center on a specific brand (e.g. knowledge accumulation, being the physical repository for all items relevant to that brand, conducting competitor reviews where relevant)
- Enhancing the reputation of the agency with the client through added-value initiatives (unexpected by the client).
- Build trust-based, mutually respectful Client relationships
- Build trust-based, mutually respectful relationships with all agency departments
Core requirements
Skills
- Strong internal and external communication skills
- High level of English is essential (all agency + client comms are in English), Spanish is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to write a clear creative brief and support in production briefs
- Ability to multitask and get it done – no matter what
- Ability to lead internal (and where appropriate) external meetings
- Anticipate and proactively tackle problems
- Good numeracy skills
- Confident and able to present a point of view on strategy and creative work
- Excellent eye for detail, vigorous checking skills
- Excellent project management skills - ideally with a Project management certificate (but not essential).
Knowledge
- Understanding of agency process and how to implement and improve where needed
- Understanding of project details including timings, budgets and team management
- Ability to run several projects and have the knowledge/foresight to flag any issues in advance i.e product availability, resourcing, budget over run
- Confident in the use of Slack, Google Suite, Microsoft etc.
This is for a full time freelance commitment, working CET 9-6pm, Monday to Friday across various projects. Initial 1-3 month term with high likeliness to extend for longer term or into a perm role.
We are based in Barcelona and attend an office once a week, the other 4days are remote. We ideally want candidates in Barcelona but for the right profile we would consider remote work (within EU).
