Roe Magazine is seeking a Video Editor Intern to bring our video content to life across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the storytelling of our influencer interviews, trend reports, and creative social content. You’ll work closely with the editorial and social teams to create compelling, polished videos that elevate our brand and engage our audience.
- Edit long-form video interviews for YouTube (The Roe Insider series) and repurpose them into short-form clips for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to align video edits with storytelling, branding, and messaging goals.
- Add captions, text overlays, and graphics to videos for accessibility and engagement.
- Assist in brainstorming creative formats and editing styles to match current social trends.
- Maintain consistent video quality and style across platforms.
- Organize and manage video assets for efficient workflow.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Understanding of short-form and long-form video formats, especially for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail, pacing, and storytelling.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and adapt to feedback.
- Bonus: Familiarity with motion graphics or basic design tools.
