Position Title: Unix/Linux Systems Engineer
Location: Madrid (Hybrid)

JobDescription:
We are seeking a highly experienced Unix/Linux Systems Engineer with strong expertise in RedHat and Ubuntu
environments. The ideal candidate will have the technical capability to design, deploy, and administer complex
infrastructure solutions with a strong focus on automation, system hardening, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deployment, and advanced administration of Linux systems, including system hardening and integration.
• Automate system operations and administration using Ansible.
• Implement and manage Linux system management consoles (e.g., Satellite).
• Deploy and administer email relays via Postfix.
• Manage LDAP systems for authentication and directory services.
• Administer load balancing with HAProxy.
• Apply and manage security patches and vulnerability remediation on Linux systems.
• Monitor performance and ensure the stability and availability of critical systems.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to manage asset security.
• Lead hardening efforts for all Linux systems under your responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
• Technical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Linux system engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in RedHat and Ubuntu server administration.
• Proven experience in automating infrastructure operations using Ansible.
• Knowledge of Linux infrastructure tools such as Satellite and LDAP.
• Deep understanding of system performance tuning, security, and operational reliability.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in cloud infrastructure (IaaS), particularly Azure or AWS.
• Background in the utilities sector is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in hybrid environments and cross-functional teams.
