To support our Backend Engineering team we are searching for a Backend Engineer (f/m/d) to be based in our Barcelona office.
What You Will Do
What You Will Do
- Tackle Complex Challenges: Analyze, design, and develop systems to solve technical challenges and improve our e-commerce platform.
- Collaborate with QA: Work closely with our Quality Assurance team to build, test, and deploy new features seamlessly.
- Refactor for Excellence: Continuously refine and optimize the codebase through thoughtful refactoring to improve maintainability.
- Boost Performance & Stability: Ensure the usability, performance, and stability of our live systems with continuous improvements and updates.
- Code Reviews: Maintain the highest standards of code quality by participating in regular code reviews with the team.
- Document Solutions: Document new applications and software solutions thoroughly to ensure smooth knowledge transfer across the team.
- Golang Enthusiast: Experience with Golang is a major plus, but if you're willing to learn it, that works too!
- PHP Whiz: You have solid experience working with PHP and are excited to work with the Symfony Framework.
- E-Commerce Expertise: You’re familiar with large-scale e-commerce systems and understand the domain’s challenges and best practices.
- API Pro: You have hands-on experience building APIs and ensuring their performance and security.
- AWS Knowledgeable: You’re familiar with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem and its cloud offerings (SQS, SNS, S3).
- Team Player: You thrive in a team environment and have strong communication skills in English.
- Up to 32 days of holiday, depending on the length of service, starting with 28 days (excluding public holidays and weekends)
- Mobile office with up to 20% of your total contracted hours (job and position permitting)
- 10 days/year of mobile office abroad in EU-countries (job and position permitting)
