The Role
As an Agile PMO Excellence Lead, you will be supporting the Digital Strategy and Technology leadership in overseeing and optimizing the entire life cycle of all IT & Digital initiatives.
You will be responsible for various methods and practices, provisioning capabilities as well as improving the overall agile and Projects, Program and Portfolio Management maturity. This dual function has the responsibility to integrate the delivery of the organization´s portfolio of projects, products, and structured work efforts ensuring all are manageable, consistent and aligned toward progressive achievement of overarching goals.
This role will develop and support a learning model through mentorship and coaching, creating training and continuous improvement throughout. The Agile PMO Excellence Lead embodies and enables an agile culture.
In This Role, You Will:
- Lead the identification and implementation of project, program and portfolio management processes, governance, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all project, program, portfolio teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery.
- Develop and guide our Enterprise PMO Framework integrating agile practice, putting in place the systems, processes and ways of working to sustain high performing teams.
- Be accountable for the consistency of the Digital Strategy & Tech PMO operating methodology and associated processes.
- Monitor PMO practices adoption through KPIs and regularly review and evaluate opportunities (incl. automation) to improve the PMO best practices in order to achieve higher maturity in project management, program management and portfolio management.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and training to Enterprise PMO staff, Project, Program, Portfolio and Product Management Communities and leadership as needed.
- Evolve and continually improve the interdependencies between business models, IT delivery models and operating practices, integrating waterfall, iterative, and agile delivery models into one, cohesive delivery strategy to best meet the evolving business needs.
- Support the Business in structuring and assembling new agile teams driving these through all functions, layers and the Demand Management process.
What We´re Looking For:
- Bachelor´s or master´s degree in computer science, information systems or related field with ten or more years´ experience in combined (waterfall and agile) environments with relevant certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in a Direct to Consumer Business (Digital Commerce, Retail).
- Ten or more years of overall experience in IT and business/industry.
- Demonstrated experience in driving PMO transformation towards Agile.
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication, documentation writing and training on IT, Financial and Business concepts, processes and technologies to business leaders and to the Enterprise PMO staff and practitioners.
- Experience with one or more agile or lean methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
- Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of productivity tools with evidence of practical application (which is highly desirable).
- Leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the strategic vision, and inspire and motivate staff in a matrixed organization.
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources are not in direct control of this role.
- Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
