About the Client
My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel.
They are looking to hire an experienced Data Analyst to join on a contract basis for a 4 month contract.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Analyst to support the delivery and management of a centralized data archival system for financial and ERP platforms.
This is a techno-functional role that requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and ongoing management of the archival solution.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that legacy and historical financial data is securely archived, easily accessible when required, and fully compliant with data privacy standards and regulatory obligations.
Working closely with an external vendor, internal IT, and the Finance department, the candidate will help design, test, and optimize archival processes to ensure alignment with business needs.
Key Duties:
• Lead and manage the testing, validation, and implementation of a centralized data archival system for finance and ERP data.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders (Finance, IT, Compliance) to ensure accurate delivery and integration of the archival solution.
• Ensure all archived data meets internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements for retention, security, and access.
• Oversee and validate data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities related to financial data archiving.
• Develop and maintain documentation for archival processes, testing scripts, and compliance checks.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure deliverables are met according to project timelines and SLAs.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues in data archival processes and recommend improvements where applicable.
• Support audit and compliance reporting by providing timely access to archived data.
What we are looking for Knowledge & Skills:
• Proven experience in data management, financial systems, or ERP platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday).
• Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and managing data sets.
• Deep understanding of ERP data structures, particularly those related to finance and accounting modules.
• Advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and financial data retention policies.
• Demonstrated experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional project teams.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organized approach to data.
