Job Title: Senior Java/Spring Developer (ASO/APX Architecture)
Location: Hybrid – Madrid ( Las Tablas Offices)
Work Model: 56 Model (7 days/month onsite)

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java/Spring Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and
high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Spring Frameworks,
Microservices architecture, and RESTful API development, with additional familiarity or experience in BBVA´s
ASO/APX architecture being highly desirable.
The role involves designing and developing backend solutions for enterprise-level applications, participating in Agile
development cycles, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, following clean code and scalable
architecture principles.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures with robust API integrations.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs following industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using
Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply design principles (SOLID) and architectural best practices to build maintainable solutions.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment, contributing to planning, estimation, and team discussions.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Proficiency with Spring Frameworks including:
o Spring Boot
o Spring MVC
o Spring Data
o Spring Security
• Experience in designing and implementing Microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of RESTful services and API integration.
• Proficiency in unit testing and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, etc.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and scalable architecture design.
Preferred / Nice to Have
• Experience or understanding of BBVA´s ASO/APX architecture.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Awareness of application security standards and practices.
