Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong expertise in cloud platforms, Kubernetes,
Terraform, and AWS to join NTT DATA in Barcelona. The role involves leading automation
initiatives to eliminate manual processes by designing, implementing, and managing robust application
frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with proven leadership skills, capable of
standardizing processes, driving automation, and collaborating with cross-functional development teams
in a hybrid environment.
This is a critical and urgent requirement for a senior professional who can ensure delivery of
automation solutions in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks to replace manual tasks.
• Standardize and automate recurring processes across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers, ensuring technical excellence.
• Implement automation solutions leveraging Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure automation solutions.
• Define governance, standards, and best practices for automation initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Stay up to date with the latest tools, frameworks, and automation practices.

Required Skills & Experience:
• 5–7 years of professional experience in automation, cloud, or DevOps engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and Azure Cloud.
• Strong background in designing, implementing, and managing automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-based architectures.
• Hands-on development experience (scripting, coding automation solutions).
• Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
